The Canadian Acoustical Association welcomes student presentations and participation at its Annual Meeting. This year the meeting will take place in Charlottetown, PEI on October 9-11. For students who are presenting papers, there is a travel subsidy made available, upon completion of a form by August 14. The form can be downloaded here (pdf file), and will also be printed in the next issue of Canadian Acoustics, or is available from acohen@upei.ca or rlamothe@upei.ca. On this same form, students enrolled in Canadian Universities may also enter a competition for the best student presentation for which there is monetary award. The deadline for submission of abstracts is Friday, May 31. The meeting provides an opportunity to learn first hand about current research and applied work in many aspects of the science of sound as found in university, government, and industry.
